Woops, did you forget to leave the steak out to thaw again?
No need to cancel cooking plans and head out to an expensive restaurant because here’s a way you can safely defrost your meat in minutes:
Start by heating some water on a stove top to 140 degrees by using a thermometer (or to estimate – it’s slightly hotter than what your home tap should be. You should only be able to put your finger in for 1 -2 seconds and a few bubbles should be forming a the bottom of the pot.)
Then turn off the heat and place the frozen meat in a zip-lock bag into the hot water.
