Homemade Citrusy Bacteria Buster

  1. Mixing chlorine bleach and water is fantastic for disinfecting the home but the bleach is not very friendly to fabrics, skin and the environment.

  3. You can however still make homemade disinfectant that is non toxic using fresh or dried herbs, essential oils, vinegar and other basic items you likely have in your home already.
  4. Here one great recipe for a homemade non-toxic disinfectant:
  5. Citrus Vinegar Infusion:
  6. First, fill a large, wide mouth jar with citrus peels (such as lemons, oranges, limes, grapefruits). 
  7. Add vinegar to the jar of citrus peels and allow it to soak and infuse for about 4 weeks; shaking the jar occasionally. 
  8. Strain the liquid into a spray bottle 1/4 full with the vinegar and top the rest with water.
  9. No you have disinfectant that is not only effective but fruity fresh as well. Yum!
