It is recommended that we change our toothbrush every 4 – 6 months but instead of just throwing it out and having it end up in some landfill somewhere why not put it to better use.
Toothbrushes are not only very well designed to reach in and scrub those molars but also great for hard-to-reach corners in our homes.
So don’t dispose, convert these dental scrubbers into small cleaning brushes.
Make sure however that once you have decided to use an old tooth brush for household cleaning purposes that you clean it with bleach, clearly mark it ‘FOR CLEANING’ and store it in a place well away from the bathroom. You really want to ensure that no one mistakes it for its previous function…EWE!
An old toothbrush is a great tool for:
Scrubbing in set-in stains.
Polishing your shoes.
Cleaning build up between kitchen tiles.
Polishing and cleaning diamonds and jewelry.
