Homemade Bacteria Buster

  1. Mixing chlorine bleach and water is fantastic for disinfecting the home but the bleach is not very friendly to fabrics, skin and the environment.

  3. You can however still make homemade disinfectant that is non toxic using fresh or dried herbs, essential oils, vinegar and other basic items you likely have in your home already. 
  4. Here is a great recipe for a homemade non-toxic disinfectant:
  5. Herbal Infusion:
  6. Ingredients:
  7. Lavender buds, mint, rosemary, sage, apple cider vinegar.
  8. Directions:
  9. Fill a large mason jar halfway with equal parts of the above herbs (can be fresh or dried).
  10. Fill to near the top with apple cider vinegar, seal jar and allow to infuse in a sunny window for 6 weeks.
  11. After 6 weeks strain the liquid and transfer into a spray bottle.
  12. Now you are ready to bust bacteria without nasty bleach!
