Safely Defrost Meat in Minutes

  1. We’ve all experienced the same frustration of not being able to enjoy a prime piece of meat without having to wait hours for it to first thaw!
  2. Well heres a technique you can use to quickly and safely thaw small cuts of meat:
  3. Start by heating some water on a stove top to 140 degrees by using a thermometer or just estimate it to be slightly hotter than what your home tap should be. You should only be able to put your finger in for 1 -2 seconds and a few bubbles should be forming a the bottom of the pot. 
  4. Then turn off the heat and place the frozen meat in a zip-lock bag into the hot water.
  5. Depending on the type of meat you are thawing will vary the time needed to defrost it. 
  6. Its shouldn’t take longer than 45 minutes but small chicken cuts take about 10 minutes.
