Tea Remedy for the Sniffles

  1. Although the best cure is prevention sometimes, no matter the precautions that we take, the cold or flu just seems to creep in; and often at the worst possible time.
  2. I always feel that the best way to overcome the cold or flu is treatment at the first signs of the sniffles. 
  3. So here’s a great tea remedy made from common household ingredients to do just that:
  4. This is what you need:
  5. 1. Ginger
  6. 3. Honey
  7. 2. Lemon Juice
  8. Directions:
  9. Fill up your tea kettle and get it boiling meanwhile, grate a one-inch piece of fresh ginger root.

  10. Get a thermos out and add the ginger as well as lemon juice and honey to suit your taste. (Recommended is about 4 tablespoons of lemon juice and 3 tablespoons of honey for a quart thermos)
  11. When your water is boiled, pour it into the thermos.
  12. Cover it up and let it sit for 20 minutes.
  13. Strain into a tea cup and enjoy!
  14. After which you should put on some warm PJs and slip into bed for an early night.
