An Easy Way to Peel Hard Boiled Eggs

  1. Hard boiled eggs can be really tasty and nutritional breakfast. 
  2. The effort involved in peeling them in the morning however, when time and patience are a rarity, often outweighs the desire to eat them.

  4. So here’s an easy way to make egg peeling a far cleaner, swifter and enjoyable endevour.
  5. “Harold McGee in On Food and Cooking  suggests adding a half teaspoon of baking soda to the water when boiling the eggs to raise its pH and also cooking the eggs slightly longer to give the whites time to set firmly.”

  6. This raises the pH of the water and makes them easier to peel! 
  7. The only downside is that this can make the eggs taste more sulfuric.
